Bucket Drumming Workshop for Make Music Month | Redcliffe Museum

Get ready to tap into your rhythm at this bucket drumming workshop with The Joy Dispensary!
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced drummer, this free music-making workshop will guide you through the basics of percussion using everyday buckets. Take part in a lively and interactive experience where you’ll learn new skills and have fun with fellow drummers.
Don’t worry about sourcing a bucket, The Joy Dispensary has you covered! They will provide you with your instrument for the workshop. If you want to use your new skills at home, they can offer you advice to find the perfect bucket.
What to expect
You’ll receive easy-to-follow guidance from experienced musicians and:
- learn 3 basic rhythms from different musical roots such as African, Indian, Brazilian and rock and roll.
- play together to create cool, but not complicated, polyrhythms.
- have fun drumming and music-making as a group.

Enjoy free events, live performances, jam sessions, workshops, and more as we put music on the map.

This workshop is suitable for ages 10 and older.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
