Do you avoid talking about death because you find it too uncomfortable, scary or confrontational?

Most people feel this way, yet there is much peace in having expert information about dying. Dying to Know Day was created to change the conversation around death and dying, bringing what are sometimes perceived as taboo topics into the open.

Everyone is welcome to attend Dying to Know Day Redcliffe, which includes a panel presentation, morning tea and the opportunity to ask questions about death, dying, loss, grief, palliative care, estates, funeral planning and more.

Kerri-Anne Dooley, Founder and Director of My Care Enterprises and Home Hospice Queensland, and Master of Ceremonies for the event said it would be particularly helpful for people with a loved one who is palliative, or seniors who’d like to know more.

Dying to Know Day Can Make a World of Difference

“As a palliative care nurse, I see the best deaths are for those who have prepared well,” Kerri-Anne said. “I have the privilege to help clients and families prepare for end of life and have seen how the right information at the right time can make a world of difference not just to how someone dies, but for how the family grieves afterwards.

“We are all impacted by death in our lives. Death of loved ones, death of friends, how to be ready for our own death.

“Being ready and prepared for the end of life is one of the reasons why Dying to Know Day was started.”

Join Kerri-Anne and the panellists for a compassionate discussion about how to be better prepared. The panellists are:

  • Cornerstone Funeral Director, Sam Major
  • Death Doula, Jacqui Williams (End of Life Transitions
  • Advance Care Planning Facilitator, Michele Linton (Queensland Health)
  • Palliative Nurse Practitioner, Andy Coe (Blue Care and Home Hospice Qld)
  • Rev Paul Clark (96.5FM At The Top)

Learn from experts, ask questions, enjoy morning tea and gain important knowledge that will make all the difference.

The event is free but registering is essential. For more information and to register, you may access this website

Please take this opportunity to step out of the darkness of fear and into the reassurance of light.
