The Komo

The Komo is self-described as “the home of the charcoal rotisserie and North Brisbane’s newest social dining hub.” Great for big crowds and catering to many people in peak times, The Komo is more than just a pub or bar. 

It’s a large and attractive venue overlooking the Redcliffe waterfront. It’s also just two minutes to the popular Settlement Cove Lagoon. It also contains The Oaks Redcliffe Mon Komo Suites. So you can definitely consider it for a longer stay. Why not have a night out without having to worry about parking, getting an Uber or about getting home safely?

With plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, it’s the ideal place for anything from a casual drink to a full-blown party. There are plenty of choices for everyone. This includes signature charcoal chickens, oysters, parmies, pizzas, pasta, fish, salads, and more. There’s also a dedicated desert menu for those with a sweet tooth. 

The Komo has gluten-free and vegan options and even serves breakfast. The venue is known for mixing great cocktails, from the classics through to seasonal concoctions. How does a Mojito, Passionfruit Caipiroska, or an Aperol Sprit sound while enjoying the ocean breeze? Pure bliss!

For those who love a good range of beer, the venue does not disappoint. There are also weekly drink specials. The Komo puts on plenty of events for patrons. The Belvedere

Up there with The Komo, The Belvedere is a venue with a difference. It’s located on the Redcliffe Peninsula on the northern side of Woody Point. This “entertainment precinct” offers unparalleled views of those famed Moreton Bay sunsets, making it a popular spot for many. 

What’s more, ‘The Bel’, as it has been affectionately and historically known, has been recently renovated. This lends it an even fresher appeal. There are lunch and dinner menus featuring steak and seafood meals. Plus, an ample beer garden. Multiple dining decks are very attractive to locals and visitors alike. This is because they make the most of the beautiful bay views. 

Another drawcard is the frequent live music, which typically happens around weekends and holidays. There’s also weekly trivia and special events to add a bit of excitement. Expect a buzzing atmosphere with plenty of local patrons and those that travel from a little further afield. 

For fancier moments and special celebrations, you can book the private dining room booked. This offers a premium dining experience. But if you just fancy a cold bevvy on a balmy afternoon, the Bel can quite easily become your go-to.

The Ox Tavern

Redcliffe’s once upmarket favourite The Golden Ox has now been reimagined as a tavern. It’s now known simply as “The Ox”. The venue is proving very popular with patrons who love the spacious setting and the large delicious meals. It’s great for families and even serves coffee and cake. 

It’s also set up for sports fans and punters with large digital TV screens perfect for watching the footy. It has a family pub atmosphere but that doesn’t mean you can’t get a fancy cocktail. The venue is also known for a warm and friendly standard of service.

Redcliffe Leagues Club 

Located as a part of Dolphin’s Kayo Stadium, Redcliffe Leagues Club is the spot for a pre-game or post-game drink. It also has a range of bars, dining options and caters to events, (including weddings). In terms of pub-style entertainment, The Club features a slew of live music acts. This includes new and upcoming bands, as well as the classic audience favourites. 

The venue options choices in dining that range from bistro fare, to wood fire pizza, to cafes and tasty snack options. There’s also the International Sports Bar for sporting fans. Then there’s Sky Bar, giving great rooftop views and swanky vibes. Plus, Legends Lounge, where a lot of the entertainment happens. 

Redcliffe Leagues Club also holds theme nights, tribute bands and more. So it’s definitely easy to not only pick you poision, but your preferred atmosphere. Make sure to keep an eye on the website to check out upcoming events.

Redcliffe Tavern

Situated a hop, skip and jump from the ocean, you’ll find the well appointed Redcliffe Tavern. It  provides a family bistro, sports bar and gaming lounge in a handy location. The tavern is a part of Bluewater Square, which also has Woolworths and several specialty shops.

This makes it idea as a meeting place and for a drink or two. Not to mention, you can enjoy some good old fashioned pub fare. A cross-section of eats include burgers, salads, classic starters, typical pub mains (like schnities) and “the grill” (expect a choice of cuts of steaks etc). 

There are also regular events and features. These include AFL Grand Final nights, trivia, bingo and holiday celebrations. The venue serves morning tea, lunch and dinner seven days a week. If you’re needing a place for an event, Redcliffe Tavern offers the restaurant, beer garden or terrace. Naturally, bookings are required (call or contact the venue online).

Jumping Goats Bar

Tucked away in a little corner in Margate is a wine, small batch spirits and cocktail bar known as Jumping Goats Bar. It serves plenty of Granite Belt wines so it’s well suited to those that know their textures and their tannins. We’re talking wine peeps here clearly! 

Beers are also featured heavily. The difference is that they are only sourced from microbreweries. They’re also on rotation, so you’ll never know what you might be able to taste next. Some of the beers on tap have included Newstead Brewing Co and Brendale Brewing Co. So you might recognise them as local!  

What’s interesting about this spot is that you can take outside food along for the ride. Next door are some takeaway food restaurants such as Bella Sicillia, Rib Witch and Kob’s Thai. This means, that although Jumping Goats Bar doesn’t actually serve food, you need not go hungry. You can easily nosh on some pizza, pasta, a burger, ribs or even some curry as the ideal complement to your cosy night out.

Ambassador of Redcliffe

Also known as the Ambassador Hotel, this venue is an iconic Redcliffe waterfront pub. It’s touted as a “sprawling, easygoing venue with a beer garden, offering weekend brekkie and generous bistro meals.” The venue has outdoor seating, which is great for people watching and catching the bay breeze.  

Ambassador of Redcliffe also serves cocktails, there’s live music and it’s close to range of other shops and eateries. What more could you want? Well, for one the pub is located opposite Settlement Cove Lagoon. It also outlooks the popular Redcliffe Markets on a Sunday. So if you’re all shopped out (or you and the kids are all ‘swimmed out’), you can easily stop in for a refreshing drink. 

A convenient aspect is the attached bottle shop. There’s also a TAB and gaming lounge (with weekly promotions). Overall, Ambassador of Redcliffe is your trusty old school styled pub, equally suited to a lunch or a night out.
