Calling fans off all things spooky yet spectacular, Halloween in Redcliffe is almost here. Celebrated on October 31st, the bayside area of the Redcliffe Peninsula certainly gets into the spirit of the season.

From family-friendly events to more frightful festivities suitable for adults, there’s a way to make Halloween all kinds of wicked fun! So, why not get your Halloween tricks and/or treats at the ready and peruse this local-centric list?

Redcliffe Parade Festival of Frights Twilight Market

Halloween after Halloween, this hugely popular twilight market brings dastardly delicious delights and plenty of ghoulish get-ups. On Saturday, 31st October, from 4pm to 9pm, you can join the throng of attendees at Festival of Frights.

Festival goers are sure to be spread across market stands dotted along Redcliffe Parade (adjacent to the bayfront). They will all be out in celebration of a great family-friendly event which is billed as one of the biggest and the best.

The evening promises over 200 stalls complete with tricks and treats, gourmet street eats, live entertainment (including stilt walkers and whimsical fairies), and a scavenger hunt. Plus, plenty more attractions!

You can even set your sights on winning the best-dressed competition. What’s more, the event is free. However, you can register your free ticket to go into the draw to WIN a spook-tacular prize.

Halloween Karaoke Night at Redcliffe Tavern

If belting out ‘The Monster Mash’ or ‘Ghostbusters’ sounds like your sort of Halloween bash, then head to Redcliffe Tavern for some spooktacular singing. Halloween Karaoke Night is held on Friday, 31 October, at the popular venue at 34 Anzac Ave, Redcliffe.

Naturally, you will want to get dressed in your best Halloween attire. There are best-dressed prizes for the most creative costumes. Plus, to improve convenience, Spooktacular Karaoke is happening all night.

So you can choose to come early for some family-friendly fun (free lolly bag for every child). Or, enjoy the nocturnal hours kid-free. It all promises to be a Halloween for the ages! Bookings are recommended.

Halloween Party at Redcliffe Library

City of Moreton Bay Libraries makes keeping the kids entertained this Halloween all so easy and oh so educational. Their Redcliffe branch is hosting a Halloween party on Saturday, 31st October. The event will run from 10am to 12pm at 476 Oxley Ave, Redcliffe.

So dress up your kids and come along and enjoy a scary time session or some rattling rhymes. Your children are sure to be enthralled by all the magic of Halloween in a safe and nurturing environment. This event is free to attend, and bookings are not required.

Home Haunt at Macabre on McPherson

“The tunnel glows so we can see you. Not the other way round. Past it, we are waiting. More of us than you will count before you stop counting. We turn our heads when you walk by. It would be rude not to. Georgie found us first. Your turn.”

That’s the invitation (of sorts) the creator of Macarbe on McPherson has created for adults to visit this wildly atmospheric home haunt. The event is on McPherson Street, Kippa Ring, and set for the evenings of Friday 30th October and Saturday 31st October.

So if this sounds like your particular brand of creepy caper, be sure to head out at dusk and find the large lights lighting the way in suburban Moreton Bay. Park down the street and walk in quietly as not to disturb (we can’t promise you won’t be, however) the neighbouring residents.

Little Monsters at Redcliffe Leagues Club

Kids will go crazy for the frightfully fun Little Monsters Halloween Party on Friday, 30th October, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. The event includes a disco, best-dressed prize, colouring competition and arts and crafts table. All spooky themed, of course.

The bonus is you can enjoy a meal while the children are kept occupied and in safe hands, have a spot of gaming or even enjoy some live music. Plus, ‘little ghouls’ eat free in Bistro Forty20 from 5.30pm with the purchase of any main meal.
