Oh, I do love to be beside the seaside.

Do you?

I hope so because we are focused on some of the best caravan parks on the Redcliffe peninsula for the perfect relaxing holiday by the sea.

If you’re looking for the ultimate in relaxing holidays, or a new place to call home, there are plenty of caravan parks across the Redcliffe peninsula you can choose from. Redcliffe might be a small town, but there’s still plenty to see, and it’s a great base if you plan to explore Moreton Bay and even the wider area.

So, what are your options when it comes to Caravan Parks Redcliffe? Let’s dive in and see!

Caravan Parks Redcliffe

Redcliffe Showgrounds

If you’re looking for the basics, this wide open space is an ideal option. It’s designed specifically for caravans and motorhomes, tenting is strictly prohibited. The space was originally a cricket ground and it’s now used for a wide variety of events, which does sometimes restrict certain dates for camping. The best way to avoid disappointment is to check the schedule and book your slot well in advance!

There are unpowered and powered sites available, and the prices are based on two people, with an additional charge for every adult or child in your party. You can stay up to four weeks at a time, typically booking six weeks in advance. You are allowed to bring your pets along, as long as you keep them on a lead at all times. There’s also a Sunday market every weekend from 6 am to 11 am, and it costs just 20 cents to enter, with the fee going directly to charity.

Scarborough Holiday Village

Scarborough Holiday Village

Scarborough Holiday Village has space for caravans, and camper trailers, and also has cabins if you’re looking to escape the confines of your caravan for a couple of nights.

As far as caravan parks go, this is on the luxury end, perfectly situated next to the marina, parklands nearby and our favourite Sea Salt and Vine cafe right next door. It’s just a quick drive to the heart of Redcliffe and 400 metres from some of the most popular restaurants in the area. You can find all the modern amenities you miss while on the road, including laundry facilities.

If you’re travelling with children, this makes a great spot because there’s loads of family fun. In addition to swimming at the beach and a nearby playground, you can visit the marina to join a fishing charter, go whale watching, visit the beaches just beyond and check out the Sunday markets at the Redcliffe jetty. Redcliffe also boasts a museum.

The prices per night are based on two adults, with an additional fee per person and a minimum two-night stay.

Facilities include laundry, toilets, showers, an onsite cafe, a barbecue cabana, and a grassed play area.

Sadly, no pets are allowed so you’ll have to leave your pooch at home.

Bells Caravan Park

Bells Beach Clontarf

Located in Clontarf on the Redcliffe Peninsula, this caravan park is operated by the council and is located across from Bells Beach. Bells Beach is a hot spot for windsurfing and jet-skiing, so if you love water sports, this might be the perfect pitstop on your travels.

Woody Point Jetty is a short walk away and there’s a handy fishing platform west of the park. There are pathways designed for walking and cycling, and plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, and parks within walking distance. It’s the ideal spot if you’re trying to enjoy the tourist life.

This family-friendly spot has fifty sites and is located close to beaches and is near enough to the heart of Redcliffe, you can take in those sights and enjoy all the restaurants along Redcliffe Parade.

As far as facilities go, the caravan park has toilets, showers, a camp kitchen, powered sites, and a coin-operated laundry facility.

Pets are strictly prohibited on council-operated sites.

Additional Options

In Moreton Bay, there are several more caravan parks to choose from outside of the Redcliffe Peninsula if you don’t mind travelling around 40 minutes. Toorbul Caravan Park is located closest to the peninsula. There’s boating, fishing, and in pristine waters if that’s your thing. It’s a great spot to get away.

Beachmere Caravan Park and Bongaree Caravan Park are the furthest from the Redcliffe Peninsula but have plenty to offer. Beachmere is a seaside village located on the shores of Moreton Bay, so if you want fishing and a relaxing beach, it’s a great choice.  Donnybrook is also a small seaside village that offers fishing and boating.

Choosing the Right Caravan Park

When looking for a caravan park, there are a few things to keep in mind. The first is location – you want a convenient spot to serve as your base as you explore both the local and wider area. What type of activities do you like? What do you want to explore? Make sure you’re close enough to what you want to enjoy!

You should also consider what facilities are available, whether there’s Wi-Fi access if you need it, laundry services and shower facilities. You may prefer to stay further out if there are more amenities. It’s also important to check whether the site is accessible for a caravan of your size and whether you need a powered site or can make do with an unpowered one.

Always check the site rules to determine whether you can travel with a pet. Read reviews to get a better idea of what to expect from travellers who have already stayed. Of course, compare costs to ensure your choices fit your budget.

Always book your site in advance, especially if you travel in peak season.
