For coaches who take their craft seriously, quality professional insight matters. That’s exactly what Coaching Life was created to deliver.
Built in Australia and free to access, Coaching Life is an independent online magazine publishing thoughtful, practitioner-focused editorial across sports coaching, business coaching, executive leadership, life coaching and emerging specialty disciplines.
With no subscriptions or paywalls, the platform exists to make high-quality coaching ideas, research and industry conversations accessible to coaches everywhere, from grassroots practitioners through to elite professionals.
Serious Editorial for Serious Coaches
Coaching Life was first launched in November 2015, quickly building a loyal readership among coaches looking for deeper thinking, practical insight and independent editorial.
Over its first five years, the publication produced 24 editions covering topics across sports performance, leadership, mindset, communication, business growth and coaching psychology.
When COVID disrupted industries around the world, Coaching Life paused publication and reassessed the future of the platform. That reflection led to a significant shift in direction.
Rather than restricting quality content behind subscriptions, the team made the decision to create a modern, open-access media platform where all coaches could freely access professional ideas and resources regardless of location or financial barriers.
The result is a fresh new version of Coaching Life, independent, free to read and designed to support the ongoing growth of Australia’s coaching profession.
A Platform Built Around Independent Thinking
One of the defining features of Coaching Life is its commitment to editorial independence.
Advertising partners, directory listings and commercial relationships do not influence the editorial direction of the publication. Sponsored content is always clearly identified, ensuring readers can trust the integrity of the information they consume.
This commitment to independent reporting has helped position Coaching Life as a trusted space for coaches seeking thoughtful analysis, practical frameworks and real-world insight rather than superficial trends or recycled content.
At its core, the publication believes that better-informed coaches create better outcomes for clients, athletes, teams and organisations.

Career and Specialty Coaching
As the coaching industry evolves, Coaching Life also explores emerging and specialist disciplines including career transition coaching, ADHD coaching and niche areas shaping the future of the profession.
This broad editorial scope allows the publication to reflect the changing landscape of coaching while supporting practitioners across diverse fields.
Founded by an Experienced Australian Coach and Entrepreneur
Coaching Life is published by Stewart Fleming through Queensland-based business Performance Studios Australia.
Stewart is a Master Certified Coach (MCC), the highest credential awarded by the International Coaching Federation and a designation held by fewer than 4% of ICF coaches globally.
He achieved this level in 2023 after completing more than 2,500 coaching hours working with executives and business owners across Australia and internationally.
Beyond coaching, Stewart has founded more than 40 businesses throughout his career, with several continuing to operate today. His work spans leadership coaching, business growth, strategic advisory and executive performance at the highest levels of Australian and international business.
Coaching Life reflects this same philosophy: that the quality of thinking shapes the quality of outcomes, and that Australian coaches deserve access to the ideas, conversations and insights that sharpen their practice.
