Valentine’s weekend isn’t just about heart-shaped chocolate and stuffed teddy bears; it’s also a time to show your support for the community.
This year, 99.7 Bridge FM will be hosting a Love your Station fundraiser on Saturday, 14 February and Sunday, 15 February.
Station Manager Ray Kerr said this was a “most important event” for the station to move forward into 2026 and beyond.
As a fully volunteer-run station, support in helping cover essentials is very important.
From 6am to 6pm, there will be hourly raffles, live guests, a silent auction and favourite song requests, with every dollar set to help keep the music rolling.
To get involved, all residents need to do is call the station and make a donation, and they will automatically be put in the draw for major prizes at the end of each day.
Throughout the weekend, listeners will have the opportunity to hear from their favourite 99.7 radio hosts and live musicians, and if their song request is in the playlist, it will surely be played.
The silent auction kicks off on Monday, 9 February, allowing listeners to bid on incredible items by calling or visiting the station’s website.
Ray said, “There will be a chance for you, our listeners, to connect and be part of this fantastic weekend and exciting future.”
Whether you’re a first-time listener or a longtime supporter, there is something for everyone to enjoy and get involved with.

Easter Food Appeal
The 99.7 Bridge FM Annual Easter Food Appeal will once again fire up for 2026.
The Easter Food Appeal will commence on Monday, 2 March and donations of non–perishable items can be dropped into the studios at 75 Anzac Avenue until Monday, 30 March.
Donations are welcome from Monday to Friday, between 9am and 2pm.
All donations are handed to organisations that support those in need by way of meals and food hampers.
Raise It For Redcliffe- Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day

Save the Date! Thursday, 21 May is the Annual Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day for 2026 – supported by the RBWH Foundation.
99.7 Bridge FM has proudly supported Raise it For Redcliffe since its inception five years ago, and we are honoured to be on board again for 2026.
We have helped the Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day raise over one million dollars.
All funds raised have been utilised directly back into the Redcliffe Hospital and assisted with the refurbishment of the Palliative Care unit, Paediatric Ward, break-out areas, and staff facilities, to name a few.
99.7 Bridge FM, in conjunction with the Redcliffe Hospital, looks forward to meeting everyone on Thursday, 21 May, between 9am and midday, when we broadcast live from the hospital.
