In Australia, we don’t get to enjoy what’s known in the northern hemisphere as a “White Christmas”. So it’s no surprise that we often take advantage of “Christmas in July”. Plenty of venues in Redcliffe are known to get involved. This makes the most of the cooler weather around mid-year and brings all the festive vibes

Events include festivals and markets where you get to rug up and indulge in joyful activities. Other popular “pursuits” involve enjoying a meal at the pub. Naturally, with all the Chrissy trimmings. Christmas in July at Redcliffe Tavern | Redcliffe 

A traditional two-course feast sounds just the ticket when celebrating Xmas in July. In fact, you can take up this offer every day throughout July and for both lunch and dinner. Redcliffe Tavern is a well-appointed venue located just a street back from the waterfront. It’s very popular for its easygoing yet tasty fare. Savour a classic Christmas dinner that includes a mixed roast with roast veggies. A traditional Xmas pudding with brandy custard follows. It’s another feast for your senses and, of course, your tummy at The Belvedere. This expansive venue is located in Woody Point. It’s especially known for its spectacular sunsets. The Bel, as it’s often called, is incredibly popular in entertaining both locals and those who love to regularly make the visit. Its Pavilion area will be decked out like the proverbial halls this July. 

The Christmas in July Feast features a spit roast with all the trimmings. Different types of meat will be on the spit on a rotating roster throughout the weeks of July. An alternate drop dessert — sticky date pudding or chocolate brownie — is available with your meal. Visit Sevenrooms to check the spit roast feature of the week (chicken, beef, pork or lamb) and secure your ticket before places run out! Pre-bookings are essential.

Christmas in July Twilight Markets | Redcliffe

While not technically Christmas-in-July themed, you can still delight in some fantastic festive markets this July. The well-loved Redcliffe Markets come alive with glowing lights and great music at a special evening timeslot. This “special edition” market is set for Saturday, 25 July. With food trucks, roving entertainment and artisan wares, the expected atmosphere is one with plenty of buzz!

This market is a new addition for 2026. Peruse over 250 stalls with jewellery, apparel, homewares, and so much more. Plus, there are dedicated kids’ activities and entertainment. Christmas in July Rock Concert | Bramble Bay Bowls and Sports Club | Woody Point

At this rockin’ Xmas in July concert, the band Cherry Red will play all your favourite covers from AC/DC to ZZ Top, with sprinklings of Divinyls, Pat Benatar, The Cult and much more. This event on Saturday 25 July brings winter-themed festivity with a bit of punchy rock to enliven the senses.

The Bramble Bay Bowls Club is a well-known venue located in Woody Point with great views of the bay. With a warm and friendly atmosphere, this is just one of their many events which keep people entertained and connected to the rest of the community. This entry brings us right back where we started this article, at the fantastic Redcliffe Tavern. A special Christmas in July-themed Drag Queen Bingo Show makes it extra fabulous. “Balls drop” on Monday, 20 July, with sparkle and glisten aplenty.

Yes, Santa’s swapped the sleigh for stilettos, and it’s the queens who deliver Christmas spirit with a whole lot of sass. It’s all FREE to play with prizes for best-dressed drinks and wintery camp chaos. Be prepared to laugh aloud, dance, and sing! Bookings are recommended (check with the venue).

Christmas in July Dinner | North Lakes Hotel | North Lakes

Looking for a deliciously festive mid-year celebration for all the family? Christmas in July is coming to North Lakes Hotel, overlooking the stunning Lake Eden, on Saturday 25 July. Whether you’re chasing that cosy Christmas feeling or simply love a traditional feast, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a wintery celebration without the December stress.
