Foodies rejoice! The Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival is back from 22 to 24 August, and it’s serving up its most delicious program yet.

Now in its seventh year, the event returns to the scenic Woody Point foreshore with an even bigger site, a jam-packed schedule and a sizzling line-up of culinary stars. The festival will feature five entertainment and demonstration stages, double the number of food outlets and producers than previous years and a 1500% increase in ticketed masterclasses and add-on experiences.

Festival CEO Shane Newcombe said this year’s program reflected a significant investment in guest experience.

“We’ve listened to feedback and dialled everything up for 2025, from 200% more shade structures and double the seating, to a record number of premium events and immersive experiences,” Mr Newcombe said.

“Our expanded offering means festivalgoers can truly curate their own weekend, from relaxed grazing to intimate encounters with leading chefs, wineries and gourmet food producers.”

This year’s Kitchen Stage, presented by Ausbuild, features headline appearances from Julie Goodwin (making her festival debut) and festival favourite Miguel Maestre. They’ll be joined by TV personalities Mike Reid, Matt Golinski, Alastair McLeod, and 2024 My Kitchen Rules champions Simone and Viviana. Returning crowd-pleasers Kim McCosker and Dominique Rizzo will also share their cooking expertise.

Festivalgoers can explore three themed areas with a Festival Precinct day pass. The MarketPlace offers gourmet goodies from boutique producers, The Cellar Door features 20+ wineries and top-tier food vendors and The Springs delivers live music and DJ sets in a vibrant setting.

For a premium experience, check out The Experience Zone. Highlights include a live dining session with Miguel Maestre, high tea with Kim McCosker, gluten-free delights with Alastair McLeod, spirit and cheese pairings, beer-and-bites comedy nights, and a special musical evening featuring soprano Mirusia. Tickets for these are expected to sell fast.

City of Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery said the foodie festival’s continued growth reflects the City’s commitment as a premier destination for major events.

“Last year’s event sold out and it’s no surprise why; this festival has fast become a standout on Queensland’s events calendar,” Mayor Flannery said.

“We’re excited to welcome thousands of visitors to City of Moreton Bay this August to experience our local food producers and everything else that our spectacular foreshore and hospitality has to offer.”
