Have you made a resolution to be healthier and happier in 2026?

Learn how to harness the power of laughter for wellbeing with Laughter Yoga International global ambassador, and local resident, HeatherJoy Campbell, at a free workshop – or “laugh out” as she calls it – at Redcliffe Library on Wednesday, 11 February.

Heather Joy said that Laughter Yoga combined intentional laughter with gentle breathing, playful movement and mindfulness.

“It helps us press pause on busy thoughts, reset our energy, and rediscover joy – no jokes or yoga mats required!” she said.

“The brain doesn’t know the difference between laughing at something funny or simply laughing out loud – it knows that’s its cue to help destress and uplift, though.

“A new year brings new inspiration to try new ways of improving our health. Laughter Yoga could be the key to better physical, emotional and social wellbeing.”

Session Details and Ongoing Laughter Opportunities

The library session will include some light exercise, which can be done seated or standing.

Bookings are essential. Book your places here.

HeatherJoy also runs a free monthly social laughter club on the third Saturday of the month on the Peninsula. Learn more here.
