Zonta Club of Redcliffe is bringing the community together this February and March with two events that reflect the organisation’s core focus: building a better world for women and girls.

From their popular annual trivia fundraiser to a meaningful International Women’s Day (IWD) celebration, both events are designed to give locals the opportunity to connect, have fun and be part of something meaningful.

Marie Stewart, Advocacy Chair for Zonta Redcliffe, said she encouraged everyone to get involved.

“We’re excited to welcome the community to these events,” Marie said. “Whether it’s testing your trivia skills or celebrating the achievements of local women, these gatherings are about connection, learning and supporting causes that make a real difference.”

Trivia Night and International Women’s Day Celebrations

The first event on the calendar is the Giggle Trivia Night, returning to The Komo on Saturday, 7 February. Hosted by Scott from Giggle Trivia, the evening promises a mix of quirky questions, friendly competition and plenty of laughs. Trivia isn’t just about general knowledge – thinking outside the box often earns you extra points, and there are fun penalties and bonuses along the way. Tickets are $25 per person, and a raffle will be available throughout the night. Funds raised from the trivia night will support ovarian cancer research. Arrive at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Bookings close 5 February. Get your tickets here.

Following this, the International Women’s Day Buffet Brunch on Wednesday, 4 March, also at The Komo, will focus on reflection, inspiration and conversation. This year’s theme, ‘Balance the Scales,’ aligns with the UN’s global campaign for gender equality. While the full list of keynote speakers is still being finalised, confirmed guest Tracy Lech from Salt Shop and Café will share her story as a local leader and her contributions to the community. Attendees can expect inspiring discussions, the chance to network with other like-minded locals and a raffle and money board to help cover event costs. Tickets are available via Zonta’s trybooking page, with updates – including full speaker details for the IWD Buffet Brunch – posted on the club’s Facebook page and website.
