One of Redcliffe’s biggest car events is coming back to the bayside this month for a three-day showcase.

Peninsula Motorfest returns for its seventh year from 29 to 31 August.

Peninsula Motorfest Founder Aarash Almassi said these events were his way of giving back to those in need.

“I run this event alongside my family – my brothers, mum, sister-in-laws – and a small crew of close mates who volunteer their time to make it all happen,” Aarash said.

“Without them, this event wouldn’t be possible.”

This year, Peninsula Motorfest features a jam-packed calendar, including cruises along the esplanade, exclusive entrant-only car shows, and a Sunday funday at Pelican Park.

“This is a three-day automotive celebration on the stunning Redcliffe Peninsula, proudly raising funds for Redcliffe Mums Incorporated, a local charity supporting families in need,” Aarash said.

“On Friday night, (we have) our official cruise along Redcliffe Parade – a 6km loop lapping the waterfront and passing by all the buzzing local restaurants. Open to everyone and the perfect way to kick off the weekend!”

The exclusive entrant-only car show will be held somewhere in Redcliffe, with the location still to be announced.

Sunday Funday and Community Spirit

“Our main event is on Sunday – the Family Fun Day at Pelican Park – free entry and everyone’s welcome!” Aarash said. “This day features kids’ entertainment, live music, food stalls, raffles, and plenty of fun for the whole family.

“Across the weekend, you’ll see hot rods, classics, muscle cars, lowriders, modern V8s, car unveilings, drag car displays, trade stalls, giveaways, and some of Queensland’s toughest builds.”

He added that this event wouldn’t be possible without the support of the community.

“I’m lucky to have incredible local support from our sponsors, including our naming rights partner Joel’s Garage Gear, along with Jack Beedham’s Trask Land, Road Rage Industries, MBM Detailing, Jan Jones Real Estate, Adept Hire, the Monster Street Cars Club, Superformance, and many other generous sponsors who help bring this to life,” Aarash said.

“Come along, enjoy a great weekend, and help us support a local charity doing amazing work in our community.”
