Australian singer-songwriter Rick Price is bringing his talents to Redcliffe, hosting an exclusive songwriting workshop at Team Musicare on Thursday, 12 September.

Team Musicare is a creative space for people of all abilities to embrace their love of music and express their musical talents.

The Team Musicare headquarters, based in Clontarf, is known for enriching the local artist scene with workshops from music legends, including Sarah McLeod of The Superjesus, Ian Haug from Powderfinger, Australian Idol winner Natalie Gauci, and Bob Spencer from The Angels and Skyhooks.

ARIA award-winning artist, Rick Price has recently finished his Hometown Tour, with his twelfth studio release, the Hometown album, taking audiences on a journey through his life from his childhood in country Queensland to working in the music scene in Tennessee.

“I love playing live and connecting with my audience,” Rick said. “I’m so excited to be coming to Australia to share some new songs and old favourites with my friends.”

Rick’s passion for connection and storytelling makes him the perfect mentor for aspiring songwriters and musicians to uncover their own talent for music. His workshop at Team Musicare is an invitation-only affair, designed to encourage close interactions and personal development in an inclusive and supportive setting.

Director of Team Musicare Dan Nebe said Rick Price’s workshops were amazing for up-and-coming musicians and that the previous three sessions he held at Team Musicare were highly successful.

“We love bringing internationally reputable artists to Redcliffe to help grow culture and creativity,” Dan said.

He said that the energy of participants was infectious because they gained a wealth of knowledge from the artists, as the sessions infused the community with rock ‘n’ roll wisdom and culture.

For those in attendance, the workshop is more than just a learning experience, it’s a chance to connect with a community that values music, storytelling and being inspired by an award-winning artist like Rick Price.

Team Musicare’s workshop series continues in October with filmmaker, actor and writer Pauly Fenech from comedy series Fat Pizza and Housos.
