Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day is back, calling on the community to dig deep to help fund life-changing research, staff wellbeing projects and transformational health care.
On Wednesday, 11 June, the Moreton Bay community will once again come together for the flagship fundraiser where every donation is doubled by generous Impact Partners.
RBWH Foundation CEO Simone Garske said the Giving Day “isn’t just fundraising, it’s hope in action: the good we can do starts with you.”
“Your generosity helps dedicated Redcliffe Hospital teams turn life-changing ideas into real-world impact,” she said. “Together, we’re building a better, healthier Queensland.”
Real Stories, Real Impact: Funding That Changes Lives
Proceeds from this year’s Giving Day will help fund vital upgrades to the Palliative Care Unit, as well as support local health initiatives that fall outside the scope of government funding.
In the past five years, more than $1 million has been raised through the event, helping fund people, programs and essential equipment, including a senior nursing researcher, neonatal monitors and the transformation of key areas such as the Stroke and Rehabilitation Unit.
Ben Templeman witnessed the impact of these improvements firsthand when his mother Vicki spent four months recovering from a stroke.
“Mum loves the thought that if anyone else has to be in the Rehabilitation Unit, they now have a lovely garden to enjoy and a beautiful cafe-style lounge to spend time with family during recovery,” he said. “You wouldn’t believe the difference it can make.”
