One of the most beautiful things about Christmas time is seeing children’s faces light up with excitement and anticipation!

A Magical Christmas Eve for Redcliffe Families

This Christmas Eve, Redcliffe Library has a free, family-friendly event that enhances the magic of Christmas for the little ones. Join in and be quiet as a mouse for the readings of classic stories and poems and then raise your voice in joy in a singalong featuring a selection of Christmas songs and carols.

While the Night Before Christmas Storytime event is aimed at entertaining children in the 3-5 years age group, the clever library staff member has the scope and flexibility to include material also suitable for older ages to ensure that everyone has a fun time.

And while the stories and songs will vary to suit the audience, the one poem guaranteed to be featured is the timeless classic ‘Twas the Night before Christmas’ by Clement Clarke Moore – a favourite of many generations of Santa Claus enthusiasts. For most, this poem taught us the names of Santa’s reindeer too!

Everyone is welcome, so gather the family for this festive Storytime session. Bookings are not required. The event is also available at other Moreton Bay libraries.

For more information, visit Night Before Christmas Storytime events page here.

What a magical way to celebrate Christmas Eve and put a smile on everyone’s face!
