Queensland-born singer-songwriter and Australian music icon Rick Price will return to the local stage as part of his Call on Me Tour.
The multi-award-winning artist will perform a stripped-back acoustic show at Scarborough Bowls Club on Saturday, 19 September, celebrating the release of his latest single, Call on Me, from his 12th studio album, Hometown.
Rick said he enjoyed performing in intimate settings such as Scarborough Bowls Club because of the “personal, up-close connection with the audience”.
“Even after many years in the music industry, I still love being on stage and sharing music and stories and connecting with the audience,” he said.
“I love sharing new songs with the audience and revisiting the favourites.
“It’s a wonderful and unique experience I always enjoy.”
Audiences can expect to hear some of Rick’s best-known songs, including the 1990s chart-toppers Heaven Knows and Not a Day Goes By, alongside newer material.
The set will feature Call on Me, described as a “heartfelt song about the people who quietly remind us we’re never alone”, as well as Hometown, which Rick described as a love letter to Beaudesert, where he grew up and went to school.
“I have many wonderful memories of my childhood growing up and performing with my family at the local dance halls around the Beaudesert area,” he said. “It was magic and I’ve written many songs about it.”

Rick’s career has spanned more than three decades, with his work earning multiple gold and platinum records and numerous music industry awards, including the APRA Song of the Year for Heaven Knows. He has lived in Nashville, Tennessee, since 2009, where he continues to write and record music. He also mentors emerging artists through his independent recording label, Clarice Records.
The Scarborough show will be presented as a dinner and show, with general admission table seating. Tables will be allocated from front to rear based on patron arrival time.
Tickets include a meal featuring fried rice, roast chicken and vegetables, sweet and sour pork, honey chicken, vegetable chow mein, combination omelette and Singapore noodles, along with one complimentary beverage.
