Thai Boi Sip Club aims to transport Redcliffe to the social culture around Thai drinks, from traditional teas to the world of bubble tea and even alcoholic creations – as a tea shop by day and a spritz and cocktail bar come evening.
As an extension of the Thai Boi restaurant currently located in Comino’s Arcade on Redcliffe Parade, the venue plans to follow its late September soft launch by going full steam ahead into creating a new way for people to experience Thai flavours and culture.
According to Joe Kittiphat Nunyoi, Thai Boi and Thai Boi Sip Club founder, the idea was to bring the social aspect of tea drinking into a modern Australian setting.
“Across Asia, tea has traditionally been something people share, enjoy together and use to welcome guests,” Joe said.
Exploring Versatile Flavours From Morning Teas to Evening Cocktails
Joe said that while favourites such as Thai milk tea would feature, there would be plenty more exotic concoctions.
“At Sip Club, we’re interested in exploring that broader world of tea – black tea, oolong, jasmine, matcha and roasted teas such as hojicha – and showing people how versatile tea can be,” he said.
