Bel Canto Singers Rehearsal

Blending the vibrant energy of live jazz with the beauty of contemporary choral music, Bel Canto Singers are bringing their casually elegant soiree titled Reminiscence to a new location near the Redcliffe waterfront.  

The group, which was founded in 2021 and gained recognition through performances at the Moreton Bay Anywhere Festivals (alongside other milestone productions), is excited to work with a live jazz trio for this event, which is scheduled for an August evening at The Redcliffe Treehouse. 

According to Laura Valenti, President of Bel Canto Singers, the ensemble’s inspiration comes from pursuing musical excellence while connecting with community, with the event designed to delight and evoke cherished memories.  

“It bridges two worlds in an unexpected way – the program moves from the vast, atmospheric stillness of the heavens – like Ēriks Ešenvalds’ Stars – to the joyful, intimate swing of Bob Chilcott’s A Little Jazz Mass,” Ms Valenti said.

A Unique Evening of Choral Jazz

The night is billed as being suitable “whether you are a lifelong music lover or simply looking for a unique night out with friends”, with the venue at The Redcliffe Treehouse being able to “comfortably accommodate more than 150 guests while still feeling intimate and welcoming”.
