Dust off your boots, round up the family, and get ready for a country-style celebration right on the peninsula.
Cherie Jorgensen, Digital Marketing & Senior Duty Manager for the Redcliffe Leagues Club, said the inaugural Dolphins Country Family Fun Day on 2 October promises an afternoon and evening of free entertainment for the whole family.
“This is the first year we have held this event,” she said. “We want to create a bigger sense of community by holding events such as these with free entry and a focus on being family orientated.”
Guests can enjoy outdoor entertainment, including a petting zoo and animal feeding, a jumping castle, face painting, market stalls, and kids’ colouring and craft stations.
“Indoors, from 7:30pm, we have the tribute band Nashville Road playing along with line dancers, a ‘best mullet’ competition, food specials and much more,” Cherie said. “We also have the team from Ariat doing massive giveaways throughout the evening!”
Affordable Entertainment and Community Spirit
Cherie said the club hopes to provide an affordable way for the community to enjoy a chance to get out of the house and soak up some country spirit.
“We initially thought this would be a small event, but the response from the community has been huge,” she said. “We hope to have lots of families and people of all ages join us for a lively evening of free entertainment and family fun!”
