Whether you are in it to compete or complete, Moreton Bay Multisport Festival has something for everyone.
Run by The Event Crew, the festival on 10 and 11 May offers people of all ages and abilities a way to take part. From the Classic Triathlon and Aquabike events to the Pho3nix Kids Triathlon, the Half Marathon and 10km, 5km and 1.5km run (and/or walk) events, there is bound to be an event that suits everyone regardless of fitness level and ability.
Partnerships Manager at The Event Crew, Monica Cameron said that inclusivity and access for everyone was integral to the spirit of the festival.
“We welcome prams and wheelchairs at our running/walking events and cater to all requirements in our triathlon,” Monica said.
“It’s an active and fun atmosphere and a very encouraging event. There will be plenty happening both days to make it a great family weekend out.
“There is a race for everyone in the family or the workplace at the Moreton Bay Multisport Festival.”
Race, Walk, or Roll Through Redcliffe
Starting from Pelican Park, participants will enjoy the perfect twilight running conditions and cooler evening temperatures on Saturday with distances for all abilities. The triathlon on Sunday morning features a safe swim in the protected bay, followed by a bike ride over the Ted Smout Bridge and a flat foreshore run.
Monica said the two events provide locals of Redcliffe and the Moreton Bay Region the opportunity to take part in an event in their own backyard, as well as drive extensive tourism and economic benefits from the many visiting participants to the region.
“The event incorporates Round 7 of the Pho3nix Qld Tri Series so will attract competitors from all over,” she said.
“Choose to run or walk on Saturday afternoon or take part Sunday morning in the triathlon. Go about it leisurely, or race to win – these events are inclusive, active, fun and professional.”
Entry fees apply and vary by distance. For further information and to register, visit Moreton Bay Multisport Festival event page.
