One Redcliffe local business owner has become a finalist in the 7NEWS Young Achiever Awards.
Former Redcliffe State High School student Chloe Alley is one of the top four finalists in the Small Business Achievement Category.
By Chloe and Youngpreneur Markets By Chloe founder Chloe Alley said she was truly humbled by the choice to be named a finalist in these prestigious awards.
“It’s such a surreal moment that recognises the passion, dedication and hours of hard work I’ve poured into both my businesses,” Chloe said.
“Knowing that my efforts to create positive change in the community and support young entrepreneurs are being acknowledged on this level is truly humbling.
“I feel proud, excited and very thankful to be part of such an inspiring group of young people who are doing amazing things.”
Turning Heat Packs Into a Business Empire Before 18
Chloe nominated herself for this award after her grandfather encouraged her to.
“My family have always been so supportive of my journey, and when my grandad kept encouraging me to apply for it, I knew it would be such a great opportunity,” Chloe explained.
Chloe first started her business Heat Wheats By Chloe when she was just 13 years old, where she sells handmade heat wheat packs after feeling inspired during a sporting injury.
“I handmake heat wheats using natural materials like wheat, cotton and dried lavender. In 2021, when I was in year 9… I had the opportunity to pitch my business in the Future Anything National Grand Final and was honoured to win,” Chloe said.
“Since then, I have continued to grow and develop my business, stocking in various stores across Queensland.
“In 2023, I launched Youngpreneur Markets By Chloe, a platform that provides young people with an opportunity to sell their handmade products, build confidence and connect with like-minded young people.”
Chloe is currently studying a Bachelor of Business and was proud to receive the 2025 Budding Entrepreneurship Scholarship.
“I’m so thankful for the support I’ve received from my family, mentors, school and local community – they’ve been a huge part of my journey,” Chloe said.
