The Redcliffe Business Awards will return this year, celebrating the businesses and individuals who help shape the peninsula’s local economy and community spirit.
Promoted by local State Member Kerri-Anne Dooley in partnership with the Redcliffe Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, the awards aim to recognise excellence across a broad range of industries.
Ms Dooley said she wanted to see the program re-established to support local operators.
“The Redcliffe Peninsula Chamber of Commerce hosted their first Redcliffe Business Awards in 2024,” she said. “They were unable to do it in 2025. Since becoming the State Member for Redcliffe, a business owner myself, I wanted to shine a light on our local peninsula businesses to recognise, celebrate and reward them.”
Ten award categories will be presented, including Health and Wellbeing, Tourism and Accommodation, Trades and Services, Community Impact, Best Home Business, Best Hospitality Business, Retail Business of the Year, Young Entrepreneur Award (12 to 25 years), Redcliffe Business of the Year Award and the People’s Choice Award.
Ms Dooley said the program was designed specifically for businesses operating on the peninsula.
“The uniqueness of our program is that it’s localised and for those who live and work on the Redcliffe peninsula,” she said. “Many Redcliffe business owners have told me they don’t feel confident to apply for the Business Awards Moreton Bay, as they don’t feel their business is either large enough or good enough.
“The Redcliffe Business Awards provides a platform to recognise, celebrate and reward our small and family businesses across the peninsula.”
Nominations, Judging and Key Dates
Entries will be assessed by a judging panel that includes representatives from the Redcliffe Peninsula Chamber of Commerce and Bendigo Bank, who have signed on as a sponsor.
Ms Dooley said she encouraged businesses of all kinds to consider putting their name forward.
“Mum and dad business owners, sole traders offering services, cafes, restaurants, hairdressers, tradies, young entrepreneurs, gyms, wellness businesses, photographers, NDIS providers, all are welcome!” she said.
“Have a go! Let 2026 be the year to put yourself out there and celebrate what you have achieved as a small business owner.”
Nominations will open on 9 March and close on 30 April, with a gala event to follow in May.
