Calling all green thumbs! Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting your journey, the Redcliffe Museum Plant Swap is the perfect place to share your passion for plants and connect with fellow gardeners.

Mayor Peter Flannery called on locals to get involved, highlighting the event as a fantastic chance to learn, connect and grow together.

“This event is a wonderful opportunity for gardening gurus of all ages to connect, exchange knowledge, and contribute to a greener future,” Mayor Flannery said. “Plus, you never know what new plant treasures you might take home.”

Swap, Learn, and Explore

Held on the first Saturday of every month, this free event invites you to bring a plant, cutting or seeds to swap with others. It’s a fantastic opportunity to discover new varieties, exchange gardening tips and share your love of plants.

Not confident in your gardening skills? No problem! Even if you don’t have a flourishing garden yet, you’re welcome to come along, learn and take part. Young nature enthusiasts can also enjoy a fun drop-in craft activity while adults chat about all things plants.

While you’re there, why not combine your visit with a stroll around the museum’s exhibits or pick up a gift from the museum gift shop?

Come along, swap something green and grow your plant collection!
