After 15 years on the local and national live music circuit, local rock outfit Team Utopia will play their final show this month.

On Saturday, 1 November, they will perform their farewell gig at HQ Clontarf.

Frontman DanDan said this gig was for the believers and the lifers.

“The ones who stood by us when the lights blew, the sound guy bailed, and the world stopped listening,” he said. “We made it further than we ever dreamed.”

Influence Beyond Music

Known for their high-energy performances and unorthodox approach to the music industry, Team Utopia built a reputation for doing things their own way, whether it meant sharing stages with acts like Tex Perkins, The Living End, Hoodoo Gurus, and Richie Ramone, or playing to a near-empty front bar.

Their discography, including politically charged tracks like Calling Out to the Masses and indie staples such as Waiting for You and Strips Off My Soul, helped them develop a loyal following beyond mainstream channels. But their influence extended beyond music, with the band often giving stage time to emerging artists and engaging in community-focused events.

One longtime industry insider said, ‘They didn’t follow standards. They set them.’

Joining Team Utopia for their final performance is Salt & Steel, a two-piece act who most recently took to the stage at Rockin’ 4 the Homeless.

Tickets start at $30. Get your tickets here.
