Jazz & Shiraz returns to Newport this month for a day filled with soulful tunes, great eats and lots of Shiraz.
Newport Park will be transformed into a jazz haven, featuring a licensed bar, food trucks and live local music.
One musician performing at this year’s event, Levi Xander (formerly known as LeviX) said he is excited to showcase his rebrand.
“I performed at Jazz & Shiraz a year ago at Mango Hill,” Levi said. “I remember it was such a relaxed vibe, and we had the good fortune of beautiful sunny weather to make it an all-around awesome afternoon.

“I’m in the process of doing a slight rebrand, and I’m starting to perform under the name Levi Xander, instead of LeviX, which many locals know me as.
“This small change also delineates my career as an artist going forward, as I start to release my original material.”
Levi will be joined by his brother on bass, his dad on sax and another friend on drums.
“I’ll be jamming away on piano and vocals,” he said. “We normally cover a lot of classic contemporary songs…however, we will be able to bring out some of our more ‘jazz’ pieces that we don’t get to play at other venues. I hope there will be a bit of something in our set for everyone.”
