Rockin’ 4 the Homeless (R4TH), the all-day, family-friendly concert dedicated to raising funds for The Breakfast Club Redcliffe Inc, is back – and this year, entry is entirely free.
On Sunday, 22 June, the event will turn up the volume at Dolphins Redcliffe Leagues Club, with Australian rock royalty You Am I, Brisbane’s alt-rockers Screamfeeder and a line-up packed with music and purpose.
Event founder and Director Team Musicare Dan Nebe said R4TH was backing The Breakfast Club and their new Homelessness Hub.
“After 21 years of frontline work, The Breakfast Club finally has a permanent home – a hub that brings together vital services under one roof,” Dan said. “This isn’t just a building. It’s safety. It’s support. It’s dignity. For people experiencing homelessness in our region, it’s a lifeline. For the volunteers who’ve carried this cause for decades, long before any headlines. And for the community, it’s proof that when we rally together, we make big things happen.”
Guitars, Rock Icons, and a Cause That Counts
A major highlight of R4TH is its famous guitar auction, which returns this year with a star-studded line-up of instruments.
“This year, we have Alice Cooper, You Am I, Ian Moss, The Offspring, Xavier Rudd and many more,” Dan said. “There are a few surprises that’ll be announced closer to the event, but I can promise this: these guitars are collector-worthy, they’re authentic, and they carry a story. Every dollar raised from the auction goes straight to The Breakfast Club. So if you’ve ever wanted to own a piece of music history and support a cause that counts – this is your chance.”
This year’s event features two live band stages, a rapper stage, a DJ zone, kids’ showcases, a chill-out area and live-streamed performances throughout the venue. Also taking to the stage are female-led rock outfit Salt and Steel, local neurodiverse musician Ky Lovell, and Jonny Sonic from The Potbelleez, who will wrap up the night with an explosive DJ set.
Dan said the decision to make the event free was because “no one should be priced out of showing up for something that matters”.
“This year, we wanted to remove every barrier,” he said. “Free entry means anyone can come – no excuses. We’re inviting the whole community to be part of something bigger. Yes, we still need people to dig deep through auctions and donations – but we also want people to feel welcome, whether they have $1 or $100. R4TH has always been about inclusion. This just takes it one step further.”
