The Redcliffe Show is returning for its 77th year, bringing a weekend of entertainment, exhibitions and family-friendly activities to the Redcliffe Showgrounds.

Held from 26 to 28 June, the event will feature a full program of competitions, rides, live entertainment and of course, showbags!

Senior Vice President of the Redcliffe Agricultural, Horticultural and Industrial Society, Barbara Mapp, said the show had a long and proud history on the peninsula.

“The Redcliffe Show was inspired by Ald Charles Allen Webb of the Redcliffe City Council, who, with a small band of people, formed in 1949 with the first Show in 1950,” Barbara said.

“Hence, this is our 77th Redcliffe Show.”

The event will feature a range of attractions, including live music, fireworks, FMX bike displays and Sideshow Alley, alongside food vendors and trade stalls. Across the weekend, visitors can enjoy everything from adrenaline-filled rides and classic sideshow games to hands-on animal experiences and interactive displays.

Show Highlights and Cultural Experiences

One of the highlights of this year’s program is the Outback Stockman’s Live Show, celebrating the traditions and skills of the Australian bush.

Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame, Lloyd Mills, said the performance offered an authentic look at life in the outback.

“The Outback Stockman’s Live Show is a high-energy, authentic experience that brings the Australian bush to life,” Lloyd said. “Audiences can expect skilled horsemanship, working dogs in action, a live sheep muster, whip cracking, and storytelling that captures the spirit, resilience and humour of life in the outback.”

Lloyd said showcasing these traditional skills played an important role in preserving Australia’s cultural identity.

“These skills are a significant part of Australia’s cultural identity,” he said. “Showcasing them ensures they are preserved, respected and passed on to future generations.”

Visitors can also explore a range of pavilion exhibits, including horticulture, cookery, arts, crafts, photography and woodwork, with many entries judged as part of the show’s competitions.
