Moreton Bay businesses are being urged to step up and help amplify community generosity for a local cause.
On 21 May, this year’s Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day will call on businesses to help double every donation through matched giving.
Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital Manager, Sharyn Tidswell, said matched giving “is where the magic happens”.
“When businesses step up to double donations, it inspires the community to give more, knowing their contribution will go twice as far,” Sharyn said. “Giving Day is all about the power of community. When you raise your hand as a business and become an Impact or Community Partner, you’re not just giving – you’re also inspiring others to give and helping every dollar go further.”
Through matched giving, participating businesses commit funds to match donations dollar for dollar, significantly boosting support for patients and families at Redcliffe Hospital.
How Local Businesses Help Double the Impact
Lewis Land, owner of The Belvedere and The Komo, is a Long-term Impact Partner.
Queensland Regional Manager Chris Allison said supporting the hospital was an easy decision.
“Everyone that has worked for us has had a connection to the hospital, and how could you not say, ‘It’s important to them, it’s important to us?’” Chris said. “We consider there is no more important facility in the entire community than Redcliffe Hospital.”
Funds raised will support patient comfort, wellbeing initiatives, and upgrades to equipment and spaces, helping ensure high-quality care close to home.
