Brisbane is about to come alive with magic as Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience makes its Queensland debut.

Opening 20 June at Sirromet Winery in Mount Cotton, the outdoor trail invites visitors to immerse themselves in the Wizarding World, complete with magical creatures, spell-casting and iconic moments from the beloved series. The experience will be brought to Queensland by Warner Bros Discovery Global Experiences, in partnership with Fever and IMG, following acclaimed runs in nine cities worldwide.

Phil Mallet, Fever Originals Regional Manager, said Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience was designed for the whole family.

“Whether they are lifelong fans of Harry Potter, or this is their very first foray into the Wizarding World, there is plenty of magic throughout the trail for all to enjoy,” he said.

“Not only is it a mesmerising adventure from start to finish – there is also a themed village at the end of the trail where they can enjoy delicious food and drinks.

“Additionally, we think the lifelong fans will really get a kick out of an element that is completely new – and that is the chronological order of which the characters and storylines will be displayed along the trail. This is a world-first, created specifically for Brisbane. Each element will appear in order as they do in the books and films.

“There will also be new character additions in Brisbane – for the first time in Australia, we’ll see Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy and, of course, the beloved ‘Fang’.”

What Awaits in the Forbidden Forest

Guests can also expect to encounter magical creatures, including Hippogriffs, unicorns and Nifflers, and even try their hand at casting spells, or summoning a Patronus. But beware – Dementors may be lurking in the shadows.

“From the moment our guests step into the village, they will be in awe!” Phil said. “We can’t give too much away, but the concept is designed to delight every one of the senses – creating a completely immersive experience.

“What we are most looking forward to about bringing Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience to Queensland is the genuine surprise and delight on the faces of attendees. Queenslanders have such a strong appetite for immersive experiences, and every event we have brought to here to date has been a great success.”
