Celebrate International Women’s Day a little early with some incredible women from our Moreton Bay area!
BPW (Business and Professional Women) Moreton Bay invites you to join them on Tuesday, 4 March for an International Women’s Day Candle Lighting Ceremony and celebration, an event dedicated to honouring and empowering women.
BPW Moreton Bay President, Vicki Wood, said this year’s International Women’s Day theme, #EmbraceEquity, underscored the importance of collective action and shared responsibility in creating a more inclusive world.
“The Candle Lighting Ceremony is a meaningful tradition that symbolises the achievements of women around the world and illuminates the path toward gender equality,” Vicki said. “This event celebrates progress and sparks conversations about opportunities for women.”
Inspiring Guest Speakers & Community Celebration


Attendees will also hear from an extraordinary panel of guest speakers, including:
- Jade Sharp, Olympic gymnast and weightlifter, sharing about resilience.
- Karleen Wilcox, Executive Director of Caboolture and Kilcoy Hospitals.
- Jodie Shipway, Deputy Mayor of City of Moreton Bay, reflecting on community leadership.
- Candice Kiss, City of Moreton Bay Business Woman of the Year, inspiring attendees with her entrepreneurial success.
